Russ Wakeham

Russ Wakeham has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Russ currently holds the position of Chief Scientific Officer at CirculAIRity, an organization dedicated to revolutionizing the aviation industry by developing environmentally sustainable aviation fuel. In addition, Russ is the CEO and Company Owner of Two Drifters Distillery, where they focus on manufacturing and selling processes with a low carbon footprint. Prior to their current roles, Russ worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Swansea University and The University of British Columbia. Russ also pursued a Ph.D. at the University of Bath and gained industrial work experience at Syngenta. Earlier in their career, Russ worked as a Fraud Analyst at Allianz Insurance PLC and as a Claims Handler at Aviva plc.

Russ Wakeham's education history begins in 1990 when they enrolled in Exeter School. Russ attended the school for eleven years, completing their secondary education. In 2001, Russ started their undergraduate studies at the University of Bath, majoring in Chemistry. Russ obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from the University in 2004. Continuing their educational journey, Russ pursued a higher degree and joined the University of Bath once again in 2009. Russ completed a Master of Research (MRes) degree in Chemistry in 2010. Russ further specialized in their field by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at the University of Bath. Russ successfully completed their Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry in 2014.
