Dion Harmon

Dion Harmon is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in applied mathematics and research within complex systems. Currently serving as Managing Director at Two Sigma since August 2010, Dion has held significant positions, including Senior Research Scientist at the New England Complex Systems Institute, where insights from statistical physics and complexity theory were applied to group behaviors. Additional experience includes roles as Head Teaching Assistant at MIT, where instruction focused on computational algorithms, and various research assistantships at Iowa State University and Northwestern University, emphasizing computational proteinomics and quantum mechanics simulations. Dion earned a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.A. in Mathematics from Cornell University.
