Alec Solway

Lead Computational Scientist at Two Six Technologies

Alec Solway is currently working as a Lead Computational Scientist at Two Six Technologies since 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Tenure-track Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland from 2018 to 2023, where they led research projects focused on reinforcement learning and neural data modeling. From 2014 to 2018, Solway worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Associate at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Research Institute, conducting research on RL and Bayesian modeling. Alec also served as a Graduate Researcher at Princeton University from 2009 to 2014, focusing on developing predictive models and implementing optimization frameworks. Additionally, Solway worked as a Research Assistant & Software Engineer at the University of Pennsylvania from 2007 to 2009, and as a Developer (backend) at a startup from 2004 to 2006, where they led a small team and worked on a content management system.

Alec Solway holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Computational Neuroscience from Princeton University, a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo.
