Jacob Shimer

Jacob Shimer is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in backend development and cybersecurity. Currently serving as Lead Backend Software Engineer at Two Six Technologies, Jacob leads a team in integrating third-party vendor data and maintaining code integrity. Previous roles at Two Six Technologies include Senior Backend Software Engineer, where Jacob implemented an internal OAuth 2.0 system, and Field Engineer focused on developing a learning management system for DoD members. Jacob's career began in the US Army as a Cyber Security Analyst, specializing in host-based and network-based analysis and automated software development. With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Cyber Security from the University of Maryland Global Campus and currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at Georgia Institute of Technology, Jacob possesses a strong educational foundation complemented by honors in both military training and technical coursework.
