Remo Arpagaus

Remo Arpagaus has extensive experience in the legal field. Remo currently holds the position of Chief Legal and Compliance Officer Group at TX Group AG since January 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Tamedia AG as the Head of Legal Services from August 2018 to January 2020 and as the Deputy Head of Legal Services from July 2008 to August 2018.

Before joining Tamedia AG, Remo worked as a Legal Counsel at The Swatch Group Ltd from June 2000 to April 2008. Remo also served as a Legal and Policy Advisor at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO from June 1999 to May 2000 and as a Research Fellow at the Institute for European and International Economic Law from July 1996 to May 1999.

Remo Arpagaus has an extensive education history. Remo obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Strathclyde between 2017 and 2020. Prior to that, they attended the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts from 2009 to 2010, where they earned a CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) in Accounting and Finance.

In terms of their legal education, Remo Arpagaus attended the University of Bern from 1991 to 1996, earning a lic.iur. / MLaw degree in law. Remo further pursued their legal studies at the same university and acquired a Doctor of Law (Dr. iur.) degree with a specialization in International Trade and Customs Law from 1996 to 2006.

Additionally, Remo Arpagaus has engaged in studies beyond their legal and business education. Remo completed a certificate of advanced studies in mediation in business and organizations from Berner Fachhochschule BFH from 2003 to 2005. Furthermore, they studied Political Science and Government at The American University in Cairo in 1990 and later pursued Modern History and Political Sciences at the University of Bern, earning a cand.phil.hist. degree from 1988 to 1991.
