Maggie Shahrestani

Maggie Shahrestani is a seasoned legal professional with significant experience in compliance and corporate counsel, particularly in the healthcare and technology sectors. Currently serving as Compliance Counsel at TX Health Benefits Pool since July 2022, Maggie advises on compliance with applicable state and federal laws for managed care organizations. As a Partner at Promise Legal since April 2020, Maggie focuses on corporate and compliance issues for social enterprises, emphasizing public benefit corporations, governance, data privacy, and transparency laws, including the No Surprises Act. Previous roles include Associate General Counsel at StoryBuilt and Policy Advisor in the Office of Austin City Council Member Leslie Pool.
