Katherine Elmore has a significant amount of work experience in education. Katherine began working at Tyler ISD in 1997 as a Disciplinary Alternative Education Teacher and later became a Grant Facilitator. In 2004, they transitioned into a role as an Assistant Principal and held that position until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, Elmore served as the Advanced Placement/Dual Credit Coordinator at Tyler ISD. Katherine then became the Night School Principal from 2009 to 2010 before moving on to be the District Summer School Principal for a brief period in 2008. Elmore's most recent position at Tyler ISD was as the District Advanced Placement/Dual Credit Coordinator from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, they took on the role of AP/Dual Credit Coordinator/Gifted and Talented Principal, which they currently hold.
Katherine Elmore completed their education with a Master of Education (MEd) in Mid-Management/Principal Certification from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1999-2001. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on English Language and Literature, General from East Texas Baptist University from 1987-1989. In 1986-1987, they earned an Associate of Science (AS) in General Studies from Jacksonville Baptist College. Katherine'seducational journey began in 1985-1986 at Tyler Junior College, where they pursued General Studies.
