Mark Horobin

Chief Financial Officer – SchlegelGiesse at Tyman

Mark Horobin is the Chief Financial Officer at SchlegelGiesse, a global supplier of components to the fenestration industry. Mark has been in this role since 2017 and is responsible for full finance and IT functions, with a team of 60 people in 19 locations, including 8 direct reports.

Previously, Horobin served as the Interim assistance with year end reporting issues at Vesuvius from February 2021 to March 2021. Prior to that, they were the Chief Financial Officer at SchlegelGiesse from April 2017 to October 2020.

At SchlegelGiesse, Horobin was responsible for designing a 3-year strategic plan in conjunction with the CEO and for leading the senior management team in Brazil, including contract renegotiation with the business’s largest customer. Mark was also successful in overseeing a business acquisition, covering target selection, due diligence, price negotiation, purchase agreement and business plan. Other key accomplishments during their time at SchlegelGiesse include achieving inventory reductions of 25% through use of historical and forecasted data; achieving a Tyman plc first of zero outstanding internal audit points due to an improved control environment and timely resolution of internal audit points; and reporting and analysis improvements, identifying performance drivers such as mix and price variance and introducing KPI’s for OTIF, new products as a percentage of sales etc.

Mark Horobin reports to Jo Hallas, Chief Executive Officer. They are on a team with Helen Downer - President of Tyman UK & Ireland, ERA, Bob Burns - President of Tyman North America, AmesburyTruth, and Jason Ashton - Chief Financial Officer.
