Gavin Jones

Gavin Jones has extensive work experience in the field of automotive audio systems. Gavin is currently the Head of Automotive System R&D at Tymphany, where they are responsible for leading research and development efforts. Prior to this role, they served as the Audio System Architect Manager (EU) at Tymphany.

Before joining Tymphany, Gavin worked at Jaguar Land Rover as an Audio Technical Specialist, where they specialized in audio systems for vehicles. Gavin also held positions at Tymphany as a Lead Transducer Engineer and Field Application Engineer (Europe), where they focused on transducer engineering and applications.

Earlier in their career, Gavin worked at Jaguar Land Rover as a Lead Loudspeaker Engineer, where they were involved in loudspeaker design. Gavin also gained valuable experience at Harman International, where they served as a Principal and Senior Transducer Design Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for the design and development of transducer technologies and loudspeakers for automotive systems.

Gavin's career began at Philips Research as a Student Placement, where they worked on DSP-based projects for loudspeaker systems.

Gavin Jones attended Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School from 1991 to 1999, where they focused on Physics, Technology, and Maths. Afterwards, from 1999 to 2003, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Audio Technology at The University of Salford.
