James Thompson has extensive experience in audio systems architecture and management. James started their career at Harman International as a Junior Transducer Engineer, where they designed midrange loudspeakers for automotive applications. James also took on the responsibility of the reference room and supported the transfer of a production line from the UK to Hungary. After that, James joined Tymphany as a Lead Systems Engineer, where they led a multicultural team in implementing consumer and professional audio programs. James then moved up to become a Senior Technical Program Lead, responsible for a team working on various audio system programs. James later became a TPL Group Manager, overseeing technical program leads across multiple design centers. Currently, they are the Director of Audio Systems Architecture at Tymphany, leading a global team in developing innovative high-performance audio solutions for various markets.
James Thompson attended Kings School Macclesfield from 1992 to 2000, where they studied Maths, Physics, and Computing and obtained 9 GCSE's and 4 Alevels. James then went on to The University of Huddersfield from 2005 to 2008, where they earned a BSc in Music Technology and Audio Systems.
