Irena Peel is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as a Trustee for the Natural History Society of Northumbria and as a Director at Greenfingers Accounting, Irena also holds the position of Head of Finance at Tyneside and Northumberland Mind. Previous roles include Chair of the Finance Audit Resources Committee and Board Trustee at Trinity Academy, Treasurer and Board Trustee at Equal Arts, and Trustee at Cramlington Village Primary Ltd. Irena's past experience includes serving as Finance Director and Company Secretary at NBS, where responsibilities encompassed HR, IT, finance, governance, risk management, and legal matters, as well as project managing the refurbishment of an award-winning headquarters. Earlier roles as Financial Controller at Aesica Pharmaceuticals Ltd, TRW, and Cummins Power Generation further highlight strong financial expertise. Academic qualifications include a fellowship from ICAEW and an MBA from The Open University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from The University of Sheffield.

We are affiliated to the National Mind Organisation, but we operate as part of the local Mind Network and deliver mental health services across the whole of the Tyneside and Northumberland.
