Johanna Slaney has over two decades of experience in various roles focused on employment and economic development. Currently serving as a Ministerial Adviser at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment since October 2009, Johanna oversees projects related to The European Social Fund (ESF+), emphasizing the development of working life and digital solutions to enhance employee well-being in both public and private sectors. Previous positions include Head of Further Education at Lahti University of Applied Sciences (2007-2009), Senior Planning Officer at the Employment and Development Centre (2003-2007), and Senior Employment Adviser at Lappeenranta Employment Office (1997-2003). Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Knowledge Management from LUT University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurship from Etelä-Karjala University of Applied Sciences.
