Caio Osorio

Global Manager Of Academia Programs at Typhoon HIL, Inc.

Caio Osorio has a diverse range of work experience in the field of power electronics and control research. Their most recent role is as an Application Engineer at Typhoon HIL, Inc., where they work with ultra-high fidelity Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) real-time emulators. Prior to this, Caio worked as a Researcher and PHD Student at the GEPOC - Power Electronics and Control Research Group from 2012 to 2021. Caio also held roles as a Visiting PhD Researcher and Visiting Researcher at Universidad de Oviedo and Lemur Research Group, respectively, in 2020. In addition to their research experience, Caio worked as a Research Assistant at Fraunhofer IZM Berlin in 2014, a Summer Student at Ostfalia - University of Applied Sciences in 2013, and a Researcher with a Scientific Undergrad Scholarship at the Center of Excellence in Energy and Power Systems - CEESP from 2010 to 2011.

Caio Osorio started their education at the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria in 2010, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Caio successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2014. Continuing their academic journey, Caio went on to obtain a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same university, studying from 2015 to 2017. Building upon their previous educational achievements, Caio then pursued a Doctorate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria from 2017 to 2021.
