Ilaria Martini

Ilaria Martini has extensive work experience in the field of GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System). Ilaria currently holds the position of Principal Research Engineer at u-blox since April 2023. Previously, they served as the European GNSS Advisor for the European Commission at RHEA Group from January 2018 to April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at DLR as the GNSS Evolution Team Leader from April 2017 to January 2018, and as a Project Manager from September 2012 to April 2017. Ilaria also worked as a System Engineer at IFEN GmbH from February 2006 to August 2012. Before joining IFEN GmbH, they held the position of Research Associate at Bundeswehr University Munich from December 2004 to January 2006. Ilaria started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Florence, Department of Electronic and Telecommunication from October 2003 to November 2004. Additionally, they gained experience as a High School Teacher at Istituto di istruzione superiore Benvenuto Cellini from October 2003 to November 2004. Ilaria also had the opportunity to work as a Stagiaire at the European Space Agency from December 2002 to August 2003.

Ilaria Martini obtained their PhD in Telematics and Information Technology from Università degli Studi di Firenze from 2003 to 2007. Prior to that, from 1997 to 2003, they also attended Università degli Studi di Firenze, but the degree and field of study for this period were not specified.
