Lars Geiger

Lars Geiger began their work experience as a Freelance Editor at Computec Media GmbH in 1991 and continued in that role until 2000. From 1995 to 2004, they worked as a Self-employed IT consultant and system engineer. In 2005, Lars joined thyssenkrupp Presta AG as the Head of Business Process Management Cold Forging Division. Lars then moved to thyssenkrupp Presta TecCenter AG in 2008 and held various roles, including Deputy CIO, Chief Information Officer, Head of global IT Project Management, and Project Manager global Business Process Management. In 2015, they joined Baumer Group as the CIO / Chief Information Officer until 2018. Lars then worked at Saurer Group as CIO / Head of Global IT / Senior Vice President from 2018 to 2020. Currently, Lars is the CIO / Head of Group IT at u-blox starting from July 2021.

Lars Geiger completed their education at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg from 1994 to 2004, earning a degree in Business informatics. Prior to that, they studied Physics and Economics at Gymnasium Höchstadt, where they obtained their Abitur from 1985 to 1994. Additionally, Lars obtained several certifications, including "Tools for Change: Gespräche strukturiert leiten" from Metaplan in 2017, IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from EXIN in 2011, Project Management Professional (PMP)® from the Project Management Institute in 2011, and Projektmanagement für Projektleiter II from next level consulting in 2011.
