John Wood is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with extensive leadership experience across various organizations. Currently serving as the Founder and CEO of U-Go since February 2022, John also holds roles as a Partner for Asia at Concentric Equity Partners and a Founding Member on the Advisory Board of XA Network, both since 2018. Additional significant positions include board roles at Asia Partners and Green Common, along with a long-standing involvement as a Henry Crown Fellow at The Aspen Institute. John founded Operation AntiFreezz in early 2023 to aid Ukrainians during winter, and previously established Room to Read, a global nonprofit focused on education. John's academic credentials include multiple honorary PhDs and an MBA from Northwestern University.

U-Go is a non-profit organisation that aims to help ambitious and promising young women in low-income countries to pursue higher education by providing financial scholarships funded by individuals and corporations in high-income countries. U-Go partners with world-class non-governmental organisations operating across the developing world to provide all-rounded support to young women, including mentorship programmes, career development, and life skills training alongside financial scholarships. U-Go aims to change the life of young women as well as to enrich their families and wide communities.
