Barbara Agard Woodward

Barbara Agard Woodward, Ph.D., currently serves as the Human Resources Training Development Manager at UMWA Health and Retirement Funds since April 2023. An innovative K-12 administrator with extensive experience in Montgomery County Public Schools, Barbara held the positions of Principal from December 2015 to April 2023, Assistant Principal, School Improvement Specialist, Staff Development Teacher, and Teacher of History from August 1992 to 2015. Expertise includes curriculum and instruction, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, and talent acquisition and retention. Barbara holds a Ph.D. in Educational, Instructional, and Curriculum Supervision from the University of Maryland, a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of St. Thomas, and a Bachelor's in International Relations from the University of Minnesota.
