Alvaro Alba has been with the United States Agency for Global Media since November 1998, serving as Deputy Director of the Office of Cuba Broadcasting. Prior to their current role, Alvaro worked as a Contributing Writer at Diario las Américas and as a News Editor and Commentator at Univision Radio. Alvaro holds a Master of Arts degree in History from Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Alvaro also completed a Foreign Language Course in Russian Language and Literature at the University of Havana.
