Emmanuella Delva

Emmanuella Delva, PhD, is the Managing Director of the Innovation, Technology and Research Hub at USAID, focusing on strengthening research and evidence generation in higher education institutions within USAID partner countries. With prior roles including Acting Managing Director and Deputy for Research Policy and Senior Program Manager at USAID, Delva has extensive experience in program management and collaboration with academic partners. Previous positions include an AAAS Overseas Fellow advising on higher education in Indonesia, a Diplomacy, Security, and Development Fellow at the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Delva holds a PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Emory University and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Richmond.
