John Swank is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in aerospace systems and thermal fluid sciences. Currently serving as Lead Subsystems Engineer at the United States Air Force since January 2019, John previously held the position of Systems Engineer III at COLSA Corporation and worked as an Engineering Consultant for Materials and Electrochemical Research Corporation, focusing on advanced materials for aerospace applications. With a long tenure at United Technologies, John was a key staff engineer for the Mitsubishi Regional Jet brake control system and played a pivotal role in resolving critical in-service issues with aircraft components. Additionally, John has a strong background in thermal/hydraulic design from earlier roles at Goodrich Aerospace and Babcock & Wilcox. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Akron and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton.
