Verchele W. Roberts

VP, Brand Management at U.S. Cellular

As vice president of brand management, Verchele is responsible for leading U.S. Cellular’s brand strategy, managing brand perceptions, growing the company’s customer base and helping deliver the world’s best customer experience for consumers and businesses. The advertising, brand activation, digital, direct, e-commerce, public relations, retail and sponsorship teams report to Verchele.

Verchele has more than 25 years of marketing experience, serving most recently as chief marketing officer for Moe’s Southwest Grill at FOCUS Brands, where she was responsible for leading the brand’s multi-channel marketing strategy and culinary innovation. Prior to FOCUS Brands, Verchele has held marketing leadership roles at United Services Automobile Association (USAA), InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G).

Verchele earned a bachelor’s degree from Tougaloo College in Jackson, Miss., and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from the School of Business at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Ga. Verchele has served on the national board of directors for the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) and as an Effie judge, including the Grand Effie, which rewards advertising effectiveness. Verchele and her husband, Jonathan, will reside in the Greater Chicago area.
