Tyler Nelson Csp, Cfps

Tyler Nelson, CSP, CFPS, serves as a Chemical Incident Investigator at the U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board since November 2022, where responsibilities include investigating significant chemical incidents to enhance community and environmental safety. Prior experience includes roles as Deputy Program Manager and Senior Engineer at Eastern Research Group, Inc., focusing on process safety and risk assessment, as well as implementing Process Safety Management at Cree. Tyler's engineering background encompasses over a decade of experience with hazard identification and analysis, contributing to the establishment of Navy chemical manufacturing facilities and conducting numerous procedural audits. Tyler holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Applied Physics at Johns Hopkins University.
