Rodolfo “Rudy” M.

Rodolfo "Rudy" M. has extensive work experience in the field of border protection and law enforcement. Rodolfo “Rudy” has held various roles in different branches of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Starting in 2003, Rudy served as an Assistant Chief Patrol Agent at the U.S. Border Patrol HQ Air Operations. In 2005, they became a Supervisory Air Interdiction Agent at DHS CBP AMO and later transitioned to the role of Air and Marine Acquisitions Manager at the CBP Secure Border Initiative Program Office.

In 2012, Rudy joined the DHS CBP AMO El Paso Air Branch as the Deputy Director of Air Operations and then became the Director of Air Operations in the same branch. Rodolfo “Rudy” held this position until 2018 when they were appointed as the Deputy Regional Director at the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, Air and Marine Operations.

In 2020, Rudy took on the role of Director of Air & Marine Operations / Advisor - Liaison to U.S. NORAD & NORTHCOM at DHS CBP Air and Marine Operations. During this time, they also worked as a Certified Team Member at Maxwell Leadership, specializing in facilitation, speaking, coaching, and training.

In 2022, Rudy returned to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection - Air and Marine Operations and served as the Director of Air Operations until 2023. Currently, they are the Director of Air and Marine Operations at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Throughout their career, Rudy has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in air and marine operations, acquisition management, and interdiction enforcement.

Rodolfo "Rudy" M. obtained a Professional Certification in Aviation Safety and Security from the University of Southern California - Viterbi School of Engineering in 2012. In 2014-2015, they attended the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business's CBP Leadership Institute, where they studied Organizational Leadership. Rodolfo “Rudy” also has additional certifications, such as Remote Pilot - Small Unmanned Aircraft System from the Federal Aviation Administration in 2019 and Certified Flight/Instrument Instructor from the Federal Aviation Administration in 1992. Rudy also holds various other certifications in the field of aviation and emergency management.
