Tamica Solomon's work experience includes serving as the Audit Policy and Excellence Division Director at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, where they oversee the coordination of policy, training, and quality for over 300 auditors. Tamica also serves as the Assistant Field Director, responsible for providing direction and oversight of regulatory audit programs. Prior to this, they worked at the New Mexico National Guard as the Director of Internal Audit, leading all aspects of audit management and supervising a team. Tamica has also held the role of Senior Internal Auditor, where they performed financial, compliance, operational, and performance audits and developed recommendations.

Tamica Solomon is currently pursuing a Key Executive Leadership Certificate at American University, which they are expected to complete in 2023. Tamica previously attained a Master of Governmental Accountancy from Rutgers Business School and studied Accounting at Southern University and A&M College. In addition to their degrees, Tamica has obtained a Certified Governmental Audit Professional certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. Tamica has also acquired multiple additional certifications from LinkedIn in various areas such as inclusive teams, executive presence, thought leadership, and project management.
