Technical Lead, Web Sevices Operations at U.S. Customs and Border Protection

Venkat Nittala has over 23 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Venkat started their career at Kanbay as a Software Engineer in 1996, and later joined EDS Technologies as a Software Engineer in 1997. In 1998, they worked as a Software Consultant at Ryerson Tull, and then as a Senior Software Consultant at AT&T in 1999. Venkat joined Prudential Financial as a Senior Software Engineer in 1999, and then moved to GEICO as a Senior Systems Engineer in 2002. At GEICO, they worked until 2009 before joining U.S. Customs and Border Protection as a Technical Lead in Web Services Operations.

Venkat Nittala obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Andhra University from 1988 to 1992. Venkat also received a Bachelor's of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management during the same time period. Prior to that, they completed their Intermediate education in Mathematics at SKBR college from 1986 to 1988. Additionally, Venkat Nittala holds certifications as an IBM certified Websphere Application Server Administrator and an IBM certified Websphere MQ Administrator.
