Iryna Goraichuk

Iryna Goraichuk, Ph.D., is a highly skilled scientist and research microbiologist with extensive experience in molecular techniques and viral detection. Currently employed at USDA as a Scientist, Iryna leads projects focused on advanced molecular methodologies and high-throughput sequencing for viral characterization, significantly enhancing sequencing capabilities. Previous roles include serving as a Genomic Data Specialist at APHL, where Iryna led SARS-CoV-2 genomics efforts, and as a postdoctoral scientist at USDA, optimizing viral detection methods. Iryna holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences/Biotechnology from Palladin Institute of Biochemistry and has authored numerous peer-reviewed papers while presenting research at various conferences. A dedicated collaborator, Iryna actively fosters interdisciplinary engagement among research institutions.
