Matt Pavone serves as the Branch Chief of the Rule Servicing Branch at the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service since March 2011, coordinating with producer groups to address marketing challenges while ensuring high-quality produce and standardization. Previously, Matt held various roles within the Agricultural Marketing Service, including acting Chief of Staff and Policy Advisor for both Hemp and USDA Organic, where Matt contributed to regulatory development and program guidance. Earlier experience encompasses stakeholder engagement at the Farm Service Agency and a District Representative role for the U.S. House of Representatives, where Matt addressed veteran affairs and housing issues. Matt also has a diverse background in hospitality management and agricultural finance, bolstered by a dual Master’s degree in International Political Economy and Development from Fordham University and a dual Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and Economics from The George Washington University.
