Michele Esch

Michele Esch currently serves as Chief of Staff at the USDA Economic Research Service and has held various roles within the USDA since October 2013, including Executive Director of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, Education, & Economics Advisory Board. With extensive experience as a Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary for Research, Education, and Economics, Michele is also the Acting Chief of Staff for Research, Education, and Economics and has a background as a Sr. Grants Analyst with the USDA-ARS. Prior experience includes serving as a Board Member for the Downtown Baltimore Family Alliance and as Administrator for the Maryland Department of Agriculture's Conservation Grants Program. Michele holds a BS in Natural Resource Management with a focus on Conservation & Applied Ecology from Rutgers University.
