Patrick Zimet

Patrick Zimet has a diverse work experience that spans various sectors. Patrick currently works at the U.S. Department of Commerce as a Team Lead (Acting) for the Risk, Insurance, and Professional Services Team. Prior to this role, they were an International Trade Specialist at the same organization.

Before joining the U.S. Department of Commerce, Patrick worked as a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. Patrick also gained experience as a Fellow at The Cohen Group and as a Graduate Intern at the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Patrick began their career as a Young Leaders in Foreign and Security Policy Fellow at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy. Patrick then served as a Primary School Teacher and Youth Development worker in the Peace Corps in 2013.

In addition to their international experience, Patrick has also worked in domestic politics, serving as a Coordinated Campaign Field Organizer for the Indiana Democratic Party and as an intern for Congressman André Carson.

Patrick's early career included an internship at BRAC in their International Department and an Education Policy Internship at HCM Strategists. Overall, Patrick Zimet possesses a wide range of experience in both public and private sectors, with a focus on international trade, policy, and education.

Patrick Zimet earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Indiana University Bloomington from 2007 to 2011. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Foreign Service degree at Georgetown University, completing it from 2016 to 2018.
