Quincy Washa

Export Compliance Specialist at U.S. Department of Commerce

Quincy Washa is currently serving as an Export Intelligence Specialist at the U.S. Department of Commerce since January 2023. Washa is also involved with the Marine Corps University as part of the United States Marine Corps Reserves since November 2019. Previous roles include working as an Intelligence Analyst for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency from March 2020 to January 2023, and as a Military Assistant to the Deputy Commander of NATO Mission Iraq from November 2018 to October 2019. Washa's extensive experience in the United States Marine Corps from August 2008 to June 2018 encompasses various positions including Program Manager, Executive Officer, Marine Officer Instructor, and Female Engagement Team Leader, among others. Early experience includes serving as an Advertising Officer with the Marine Corps Recruiting Command for a brief period in 2007. Washa holds a Bachelor of Arts in History with a specialization in Military History from the Virginia Military Institute and a Master of Arts in the History of Science, Technology, and Medicine from the University of Minnesota, along with studies at the United States Marine Corps Command and Staff College.
