Counselor To The Attorney General at Department of Justice

Daniel Bell is a seasoned attorney currently serving as Counselor to the Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice since February 2025. Prior to this role, Daniel held various positions within the Florida Office of the Attorney General, including Chief Deputy Attorney General and Chief Deputy Solicitor General from June 2021 to January 2025, and Deputy Solicitor General from March 2018 to November 2019. Additionally, Daniel was General Counsel for the Florida House of Representatives from December 2019 to June 2021. Earlier in their career, Daniel was an Associate at Williams & Connolly LLP from January 2013 to March 2018 and gained valuable experience as a law clerk for the Honorable Paul J. Watford and the Honorable Alex Kozinski at the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit during 2011-2012. Daniel earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Stanford Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and History from Florida State University.
