Layne Johnson

Layne Johnson is currently serving as a Paralegal Specialist at the U.S. Department of Justice since August 2023. Previous experience includes a position as a Student Assistant at the Legal Aid Justice Center from August 2022 to May 2023, and serving as Vice President of Amnesty International at UVA from November 2020 to May 2023. Additional roles include Sports Writer for The Cavalier Daily from March 2020 to May 2023, a Food & Nutrition Policy Intern at Catholic Charities USA in the summer of 2022, and a Zero Hunger Intern at the Congressional Hunger Center during the same period. Previous internship experience also encompasses a Research Intern role at the Philip L. Graham Fund in the summer of 2021. Layne Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Philosophy, Policy, and Law from the University of Virginia and has completed the European Studies Program, focusing on Politics, Philosophy, and Law, at Freie Universität Berlin. Educational background includes an International Baccalaureate diploma from Robinson Secondary.
