Annelisa J. Purdie

Annelisa J. Purdie, MLIS, is a seasoned library professional currently serving as a Representative of the General Public for the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee at the U.S. Department of the Treasury since January 2024. Purdie has been a Research Librarian at JPMorgan Chase & Co. since May 2022 and previously held the position of Senior Children's Librarian at The New York Public Library from April 2018 to May 2022, where responsibilities included supervising children's reference and information literacy programs. Experience also includes roles at Brooklyn Public Library, where Purdie developed programs promoting literacy for children, and various positions that enhanced organizational and clerical skills. Purdie holds a Master of Library & Information Science from St. John's University and a Master of Arts in American Studies from Columbia University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in History from New York University.
