Courtney Dantzler

Courtney Dantzler is an accomplished pianist and accompanist with extensive experience in the performing arts and music research. As a Freelance pianist since August 2014, Courtney has developed a diverse skill set while serving as a Student Fellow at Rewriting the Code since July 2020. At Duke University, educational experiences include roles as an Undergraduate Fellow and Musicology Researcher in the Black Music and the Soul of America Lab, a Music Library Work-Study Student, Project Arts Music Crew Leader, and Digital Humanities Researcher in the Story+ Summer Program focusing on "Digital Ethnography and Global DJs." Additional experience includes teaching at Vienna's English Theatre, interning with Free Spirit Media and Walltown Children's Theatre, and contributing to the Duke Chronicle as a staff and contributing writer for the Arts & Culture section. Courtney Dantzler is a graduate of Duke University, having completed studies there from 2019 to 2023, and attended Stanton College Preparatory School from 2015 to 2019.
