Evelyn L.

Evelyn L. currently serves as the U.S. House of Representatives Sergeant at Arms, a position held since October 2023. Prior experience includes several roles within the DC Metropolitan Police Department from November 2018 to September 2023, where responsibilities ranged from MPD Internal Communications to managing media productions and overseeing community outreach. Evelyn's background also includes serving as Area Director for Prince George's County Department of Social Services and Comprehensive Health Services, as well as multiple program management positions at Stepping Stones Shelter, Identity, Inc., Community Bridges, Incorporated, and the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital. Educational qualifications include participation in the Emergence Program at the Naval Postgraduate School and a Master’s degree in American Studies from the University of Maryland, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice with additional minors in Spanish Language and Cultures and U.S. Latino/a Studies.
