Matthew Kim is an accomplished individual currently serving as a Congressional Intern in the Office of Congressman Gerry Connolly at the U.S. House of Representatives since September 2024. With a diverse background in various leadership roles, Matthew has contributed as a Builder and Fall '21 Fellow with Civics Unplugged, NSLI-Y Scholar with the National Security Language Initiative for Youth, and 2023 Reischauer Scholar at Stanford University. Additional experience includes serving as Virginia Research Director for The Polling Place, Vice President, Director of Operations, and Director of Media for the International Biology Bowl, as well as participating in High School Diplomats with the National Association of Japan-America Societies. Matthew has also held the position of Current Events Editor for The GroupChat for Change and Economic Policy Fellow with The Greater Good Initiative. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Economics at Boston University, Matthew previously graduated with an Advanced Studies Diploma from Oakton High School in 2024.
