U.S. Masters Swimming
Anne Sharkey is a highly skilled professional with diverse experience in coaching and health-related fields. Currently working as a Canine Care Technician at Dogs Inc since May 2024, Anne also holds positions as a Certified Endurance Coach with 80/20 Endurance and a US Masters Swimming Level 1 Certified Coach. Additionally, Anne has been a USAT Level 1 Certified Coach since February 2017. Previously, Anne co-owned Endurance House Kansas City and Playtri Kansas City, contributing to the growth of community fitness and providing resources for various sports. With foundational experience as a Food Technologist and a Research Assistant, Anne's educational background includes a BS in Nutrition from Hood College and studies at Shippensburg University.
U.S. Masters Swimming
USMS is a national membership-operated nonprofit organization that provides membership benefits to nearly 70,000 Masters swimmers across the country. These benefits include insurance, SWIMMER magazine, sanctioned events, and many others. USMS and its 52 Local Masters Swimming Committees (LMSCs) provide direct support to more than 1,500 Masters Swimming clubs and workout groups. Structure and organization of USMS programs vary and are driven by factors such as pool availability, instructor or coach availability, community support, and finances. The majority of locations offering Masters Swimming programs have coaches on deck. Coaches write workouts and provide feedback and instruction.
