Ashley Baird is a seasoned professional in the publishing industry, currently serving as a Senior Production Editor at the U.S. Naval Institute since November 2021. With a substantial background at Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group from 2008 to November 2021, Ashley held multiple roles including Managing Editor of Production, where approximately 600 books per year were managed for a team of production editors. Other positions included Assistant Manager of Electronic Product, overseeing the production and distribution of electronic formats, and Associate EPUB Editor, managing ebook production for client publishers. Ashley began a career in publishing as an Associate Production Editor, directly responsible for transitioning manuscripts to print. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from William & Mary and a Publishing Institute Certificate from the University of Denver.
