Necota Staples has over 19 years of federal service with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), currently serving as a Project Manager since July 2023. Staples possesses a diverse background in the nuclear power sector, with extensive experience in Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR), Boiling Water Reactor (BWR), and CE technologies, focusing on regulatory compliance and the performance assessment of engineering programs related to electrical design, safety systems, and fire protection. Prior roles at the NRC included Senior Project Engineer and Senior Project Inspector. Additionally, Staples co-founded Staples InTents in March 2022 to promote diversity in outdoor activities through education and inspiration. Staples began a career in engineering as an Applications Engineer at Corning Incorporated from 2000 to 2002 and holds degrees in Engineering Physics and Electrical and Electronics Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
