Frank Owen

Advisor at U.S. Retirement & Benefits Partners

Frank Owen is President of F.R. Owen & Associates, a retirement planning firm specializing in working with educators in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2008, the firm merged with U.S. Retirement Partners.

Prior to the merger, F.R. Owen & Associates operated independently from 1992 to 2008. Mr. Owen’s background in retirement planning began while serving in the U.S. Air Force, specializing in military pay and counseling retiring personnel about their post-service financial and benefits options.

After his Air Force service, Mr. Owen began working in the insurance industry. In 1980, he joined his father to specialize in financial services for educators, and began to build a broader focus and portfolio of products and services as their client base grew. He continued in the business after his father’s death in 1989 and incorporated F.R. Owen & Associates in 1992.

Mr. Owen has a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia College and has also earned CLU and ChFC designations. He served on the board of the National Tax Sheltered Accounts Association (NTSAA) from 2007-2009, and as president for two years during that tenure.
