Zach Carusona

Zach leads the Industrial and Specialty Products Business where he partners with customers to deliver best-in-class solutions that are used in everyday markets such as building materials, coatings, glass, and food and beverage. Zach focuses on providing high-quality, technical products and service, and is also responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of new specialty products.

Zach joined U.S. Silica’s Strategic Planning team in 2011 and has since taken on roles of increasing responsibility across businesses and functions. In his most recent role as President of Specialty Minerals, Zach set business unit strategy, grew market share, continued a shift toward specialized products, and delivered record sales and profit. Prior to Specialty Minerals, Zach served as Vice President in U.S. Silica’s SandBox business unit where he delivered rapid growth and established SandBox as an industry leader.

Prior to joining U.S. Silica, Zach was a strategy consultant at Accenture, where he advised companies on growth and operational strategy.

Zach holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
