Stephen Mergenthaler

Stephen Mergenthaler is an experienced professional in mountain sports education with a career spanning over two decades. Since September 2002, Stephen has served as Director at Alpine Development Koncepts, focusing on skiing, climbing, and wilderness experiences. In addition, Stephen holds multiple roles including Program Director and Head Alpine Coach, as well as Rock Guide at Redline Mountain Guides/National Sports Academy since 2009. Stephen has also worked as a Rock Climbing Guide with Adirondack Mountain Guides and serves as a Coaches Education Clinician/Instructor for USSA since 2000. As an adjunct faculty member at SUNY Saranac Lake NCCC, Stephen teaches rock climbing. Beginning in 1992, Stephen was involved with Rock and River Guide Service as a Rock Climbing Guide until 2002. Stephen's educational background includes studies at SUNY Rockland and the School of Hard Knocks.
