Eric Edwards has a diverse work experience history. Eric started their career in 2004 as a Political Liaison for the Republican Party of Florida. From 2006 to 2010, they worked for the Florida House of Representatives, initially as a Legislative Assistant in the Office of the Speaker, and then as a Budget Analyst. In 2010, Eric joined The Florida Senate as a Legislative Analyst for the Senate Majority Office, followed by a role as a Legislative Aide to Senator Don Gaetz. Since 2016, Eric has been with U.S. SUGAR, first as an Assistant Vice President of Governmental Affairs, and currently as the Vice President of State Government Affairs.

Eric Edwards attended Florida State University from 2001 to 2006. During this time, they did not obtain any particular degree or field of study. However, in the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science at Florida State University.

Headquartered in Clewiston, Florida the company farms more than 180,000 acres in Hendry, Glades, and Palm Beach counties and employs approximately 1,700 people including many high-skilled/wage jobs in automated environments. Produces 650,000 - 700,000 tons of cane sugar a year, providing nearly 8% of the nation’s sugar production.
