Virginia Vowell has a long and varied career in the marketing and research industry. Virginia began their career in 2000 with an Acting Internship at the Charleston Stage Company. In 2003, they took on the role of Marketing Assistant at Philips Consumer Electronics, where they organized consumer testing panels and created customer satisfaction surveys. In 2004, they were hired as the Director of Marketing at Oak Ridge Federal Credit Union, where they conducted a managers' branding workshop, arranged for all advertising, promotions, and PR efforts, and created the marketing proposal for ORFCU's revised community charter application. In 2005, they joined U30 Group as a Senior Manager of Consumer Insights, and in 2017 they became a Senior Research Analyst at Shelton Group, Inc.

Virginia Vowell earned an MBA in Marketing from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee in 2003. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theater from Capital University in 2000.
