UA Miracle
Lauren Whinery is a dedicated undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a focus on Sales and Global & Cultural Perspectives at The University of Alabama. Currently, Lauren holds membership positions in various organizations, including Delta Sigma Pi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Professional Women in Communication & Business, Globe UA, and Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, actively engaging in professional development and networking initiatives. Experience includes collaborating with local businesses for event sponsorships, recruiting for UA Miracle in support of childhood health, and serving as a Sales Marketing Consultant at SWFL Media Consultants, where insights into business operations and digital marketing were gained. Earlier experiences involved leading the chapter as Vice President in Business Professionals of America and participating in project-based learning with Iowa BIG, showcasing a strong commitment to community impact and professional growth.

UA Miracle
The University of Alabama Dance Marathon (UADM) is the largest student-run philanthropic organization at the University of Alabama. The purpose of UADM is to raise funds and awareness for Children's of Alabama, the only free-standing pediatric hospital in the state of Alabama. We host a variety of events throughout the year to engage our campus and the Tuscaloosa community in support of our cause. Our events help us spread the word and raise awareness for who we are and what we do as we raise money, recruit new Miracle Makers, and interact with our Miracle Kids and Children's of Alabama. All of these events and fundraising lead up to our main event - BAMAthon, where we stand and fundraise for twelve hours in support of those who can't. Our staff, Miracle Makers, and Miracle Families all come together in support of our organization, and at the end of the day, we announce the total amount raised all year.
