Charlie Chang has a diverse work experience in the field of investment strategy and risk management. Charlie started their career in 2005 as a Quantitative Risk Analyst at Northwestern Mutual. From 2007 to 2011, they served as a Public Market - Investment Strategist at the same company. In 2011, Charlie joined Hartford Investment Management as an Investment Strategist. In 2013, they moved on to become a Senior Investment Officer at the Missouri State Employees' Retirement System. Charlie held this position until 2020 when they joined the UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust as a Senior Manager, overseeing portfolio strategy and investment risk management.
Charlie Chang completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at Rutgers University from 1990 to 1994. Following that, they pursued a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Rutgers University from 1994 to 2000. Later, in 2004 to 2005, Charlie attended Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, where they obtained an MBA with a specialization in Finance.
