Shalom Onyibe has worked as the Chief Information Security Officer at UBA Kenya since September 2023. Prior to that, they held two roles at CYBER1 Solutions - East and West Africa. From January 2019 to September 2023, they served as the Head of Cybersecurity Assurance Services, where they led security advisory and engineering teams and introduced agility principles into service delivery. Shalom also founded the cybersecurity assurance department and introduced new services, increasing revenue. From July 2018 to January 2019, Shalom was a Presales Consultant at the same company. In addition, they worked as a Training Specialist at iHub Nairobi from August 2021 to March 2022, where they trained and mentored professionals in threat intelligence capabilities.
Shalom Onyibe attended United States International University - Africa from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Information Systems Technology with a focus on Forensic Information Technology and Cybercrime & Networking. They have also obtained various certifications, including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Cert Prep, Palo Alto Networks Systems Engineer (PSE)- Foundation, and Certified Ethical Hacker.
