Paul West-Sells

Paul West-Sells is an accomplished professional in the mining and metallurgical engineering sectors, currently serving as the President and CEO of Western Copper and Gold since March 2010. In addition to this leadership role, Paul West-Sells contributes to academia as an Adjunct Professor at The University of British Columbia and serves as Chair of the Centre for Northern Innovation in Mining at Yukon College. Previously, Paul West-Sells held positions including Chair of the Yukon Mining Alliance and Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at Western Copper Corporation. With experience as a Senior Metallurgist at Barrick Gold Corporation and Placer Dome, as well as a Senior Metallurgical Engineer at BHP, Paul West-Sells has a solid foundation in engineering, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy in Metallurgical Engineering from The University of British Columbia between 1987 and 1996.
