Calvin Seto

Calvin Seto is a highly experienced privacy and engineering professional with a robust background in data governance, architecture, and product development. Currently serving as Staff Privacy Architect at Uber since July 2019, Calvin is responsible for the development of a company-wide data governance framework and technical specifications. Previously, as a Senior Privacy Engineer at Google, Calvin led privacy initiatives across core product areas, contributing to data protection efforts. Earlier roles include Director of Server Engineering at Icontrol Networks, where Calvin oversaw engineering for a multi-tier home security platform, and various architectural positions at W5 Networks, Ensim, Abgenix, DNA Sciences, and Equifax. Calvin holds MEng and BASc degrees in Computer and Electrical Engineering, respectively, along with an MBA from the University of Toronto.
