Ming Zhang is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in software and security engineering, currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering at Uber since September 2023. Previously, Ming was the Director of Engineering at Databricks, where efforts focused on building scalable multi-cloud infrastructure automation. Prior to that, Ming held the role of Senior Director and Principal Engineer at Alibaba Group, leading automation systems for expansive cloud networks. Ming's career includes significant contributions at Microsoft as a Senior Researcher, developing key technologies for Azure Cloud networks. Ming holds a PhD in Computer Science from Princeton University and a BS in Computer Science from Nanjing University.
